About us
The Alternative Provider Collaborative is chaired by Edna Robinson and Project Managed by Franky Procter
How did it start?
The APC emerged following the signing of the GM VCSE Accord Agreement in September 2021. The agreement is a three-way collaboration agreement between the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership and the GM Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector represented by the GM VCSE Leadership Group. The Accord will act as a framework for collaboration involving VCSE leaders and organisations in the delivery of the Greater Manchester Strategy, including the development of the strategic plan of the new GM Integrated Care System.
The story so far:
With a small group of founding members and GM infrastructure organisations such as 10GM, Salford CVS, Action Together, Macc, Sector 3, VSNW and Bolton CVS and the GM VCSE Leadership Group, The APC now has nearly 50 member organisations and will represent not-for-profit providers of NHS services in the new Integrated Care System. Currently, the organisations show a collective turnover of around £150m, employ in excess 2000 people and utilise around 1000 volunteers. These organisations operate across all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester and provide services to over 2,000,000 people. We are open to new membership.
